2020-21 FA Cup: Third Round – Manchester United vs Watford

Manchester United welcome Watford to Old Trafford in Saturday Night Football from the Third Round weekend of 2020-21 FA Cup.

After exiting the League Cup in midweek, Man Utd will be keen to kick-start another title challenge whereas Watford look to avoid a second consecutive exit at this stage for the first time since 2004-06 seasons.

Marcos Rojo (calf), Phil Jones (knee) and Edinson Cavani (suspension) are also absent.

Watford are set to welcome Craig Cathcart and Joao Pedro back from hamstring injuries.

Domingos Quina, Isaac Success and Stipe Perica (all hamstring) and Christian Kabasele (knee) remain sidelined.

Prediction

Man Utd were unlucky to lose a closely fought battle against Man City in midweek but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done a great job to get the Red Devils challenging in all competitions, which should stand them in good stead here despite likely rotation.

Watford meanwhile are currently in a rut when it comes to away form with just one win in their last eight away trips, which is a worry coming into a fixture like this and more so when their main focus is instead on the Championship.

Victory here though would certainly give the Hornets confidence but I just can’t see them getting a result here given their poor form at Old Trafford and especially if Martial starts for the hosts.

Prediction: Manchester United 2-0 Watford

Result: Manchester United 1-0 Watford
