US Soccer have announced a 27-woman squad for a training camp between 9-22 January 2021.
Selected players include Rose Lavelle and Sam Mewis of who both play for Manchester City in the Women’s Super League.
As part of the training camp, the reigning World Cup champions will host Colombia in two friendlies on 18 and 22 January at the Exploria Stadium, with US Women’s manager – Vlatko Andonovski naming two 18 player rosters for each match.
In America, both matches will be screened live on ESPN2 with kick-off at 7pm Eastern Time, meaning that both matches will be midnight starts UK time on 19 and 23 January respectively.
Megan Rapinoe, Carli Lloyd and Mallory Pugh return to the US Women’s squad after missing the last two international windows for various reasons, whilst Andi Sullivan and Lindsey Horan missed November’s victorious trip to Holland.
Alex Morgan misses these fixtures after testing positive for Coronavirus during the festive period whilst Christien Press and Tobin Heath have decided to stay at Manchester United.
