2020-21 Sky Bet Championship: Week 15 – Wednesday

Luton Town welcome Norwich City to Kenilworth Road in Wednesday’s big Sky Bet Championship clash.

Victory could see Luton climb as high as ninth whilst Norwich could move four points clear at the summit with a win if teams in play-off spots all lose.

Luton could be without Pelly Ruddock after he was substituted against Cardiff on Saturday with a knock.

Dan Potts (foot), Eunan O’Kane (leg) and Brendan Galloway (knee) remain long-term absentees for the Hatters.

Norwich will have Max Aarons available despite the defender being substituted on Saturday against Coventry with an unspecified injury.

Tim Krul (thigh), Teemu Pukki (hamstring), Kenny McLean (knee), Kieran Dowell (ankle), Todd Cantwell, Xavi Quintilla (both hip), Jordan Hugill (shoulder) and Lukas Rupp (hamstring) are ruled out, as Emiliano Buendia returns from suspension.

Prediction

Luton will be massively disappointed with their shambolic performance at Cardiff on Saturday but this is a chance to reset themselves against an unpredictable Norwich team, who are unbeaten in ten but have been made to dig deep in nine of those games.

Add in squad rotation and the fact that the Canaries are missing quality players like Krul, Cantwell and Pukki then I am expecting a difficult match for Norwich against a Hatters team who have been fairly solid this season, yet need to show better defending if want to push for the play-offs.

A draw therefore would be a good bet given that both teams are in the middle of a brutal Xmas run-in fixture run but I think Norwich might be able to dig out a win here.

Prediction: Luton 1-2 Norwich

Result: Luton 3-1 Norwich
