Marine Draw Tottenham In FA Cup Third Round

Eighth-tier Marine have drawn Tottenham Hotspur in the Third Round draw for this season’s FA Cup.

Northern Premier League Division One North West’s Marine are the lowest team left in this season’s competition and have been rewarded with a home tie against current Premier League leaders, Tottenham Hotspur at Rossett Park in the stand-out tie of this round.

National League’s Stockport County are featuring in this stage of the FA Cup for the first time since 2006-07 season and have been handed a mouthwatering home draw against West Ham United of the top flight at Edgeley Park.

Chorley of National League North will host Wayne Rooney’s Derby County as the Rams look for a morale boost amidst their Championship struggles this season.

The winner of Canvey Island’s clash against Boreham Wood will face Millwall at home for a spot in the Fourth Round as all remaining non-league teams were given home draws against league opposition.

Defending champions, Arsenal will host last season’s Quarter-Finalists, Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium in one of three all Premier League ties, as Liverpool visit Aston Villa at Villa Park whilst Wolves host Crystal Palace at Molineux.

Premier League’s Fulham and Leicester face local derbies as they visit QPR and Stoke of the Championship respectively.

Last season’s runners-up, Chelsea will host League Two’s Morecambe at Stamford Bridge as Frank Lampard’s Blues look to go one better and clinch the trophy for the first time since 2018.

Third Round ties will be played between weekend of 8-11 January with no replays taking place, meaning that extra-time and penalties will be required to settle each tie on the day if necessary.
