2020-21 Premier League: Week Four – Leicester City vs West Ham United

Leicester City welcome West Ham United to the King Power Stadium in one of two opening Super Sunday lunchtime double-headers.

Victory will assure Leicester of a top three spot heading into the international break whilst West Ham are looking to break into the top ten with a win.

Cengiz Under is set to make his Leicester debut after missing last weekend’s 5-2 shock win at Manchester City as he continued to settle into life at Leicester.

Jonny Evans (calf), Jamie Vardy (hip) and Dennis Praet (knee) were subbed during that match but are all expected to be fit for this clash, although Praet will be subject to a late fitness test alongside Under and Demarai Gray (illness).

Wilfred Ndidi (adductor) is still ruled out alongside Filip Benkovic (hip) and Ricardo Pereira (knee).

West Ham have no fresh injury concerns after Wednesday’s 4-1 Carabao Cup defeat at Everton as Ryan Fredericks remains out with a hamstring injury.

Issa Diop and Josh Cullen are still in self-isolation after testing positive for Coronavirus.

Stat Attack

Prediction

Leicester are absolutely flying at minute because they soaked up Man City’s pressure with such ease despite going a goal behind before seizing control and dominating the match, which probably stands them in good stead because West Ham did similar to batter Wolves so can afford to invite the Hammers to attack early before turning the screws as time wears on.

West Ham however produced a poor midweek Carabao Cup performance at Everton despite several changes being made so probably need an early goal here to revitalise their confidence, especially as both teams have scored in six of their last seven meetings but I can see the Foxes claiming another comfortable win such is their fierce form at present.

Prediction: Leicester City 3-1 West Ham United

Result:  Leicester City 0-3 West Ham United
