2020-21 Premier League: Week Three – West Ham United vs Wolves

West Ham look to record their first league win of the season as they welcome Wolves to the London Stadium in the final Super Sunday clash.

A point will be enough to lift West Ham out of the relegation zone whilst Wolves can climb into the top ten with victory.

Mark Noble and Sebastien Haller are expected to be available for West Ham after recovering from respective toe and hamstring injuries.

Issa Diop and Josh Cullen are ruled out as they continue to self-isolate after testing positive for Coronavirus ahead of their midweek Carabao Cup win over Hull City.

Wolves could be without Daniel Podence due to a knock although the young striker could face a late fitness test alongside Fernando Marcal, who is struggling with a calf injury.

Jonny continues to be an indefinite absentee with a knee injury suffered at end of last season.

Prediction

After a disastrous opening match against Newcastle a fortnight ago, West Ham have really seemed to find their groove in subsequent matches and were unlucky to not snatch a point at Arsenal last weekend.

Wolves meanwhile simply were outplayed by a fierce Manchester City team last week but I am expecting them to come here fighting, especially given their impressive record against the Hammers since returning to the top flight in August 2018.

A scrappy game therefore could well be on the cards if the Hammers can continue to build momentum going forward yet Wolves will certainly be back to their attacking best against a team which is often prone to defensive errors.

Prediction: West Ham 1-2 Wolves

Result: West Ham 4-0 Wolves
