2019-20 Premier League: Week 32 – Everton vs Leicester

Everton welcome Leicester to Goodison Park in a huge clash as both teams look to push on for a spot in Europe.

A win for Everton could send the Toffees as high as tenth depending on results elsewhere, whilst Leicester can move to within five points of second-placed Manchester City with victory.

Everton hope to have Yerry Mina available if the Colombian defender can prove his fitness after recovering from a muscle injury.

Theo Walcott (abdominal), Djibril Sidibe (foot), Fabian Delph (muscle), Cenk Tosun (knee) and Jean-Phillipe Gbamin (Achilles) all remain ruled out.

Leicester could be without James Maddison due to a hip injury sustained in training prior to Sunday’s FA Cup defeat against Chelsea.

Ricardo Pereira (knee) and Daniel Amartey (ankle) both remain absent.

Prediction

Everton have done a solid job since the restart but need to really start producing more clinical performances, especially with Carlo Ancelotti likely looking ahead to next season now in terms of who to keep and who to sell.

Leicester on other hand seem to lack any real spark since returning from lockdown, despite producing some quality play at times so this is a crucial must-win to realistically keep their top three hopes safely intact with six rounds left.

This game therefore is crucial for both teams in terms of kick-starting a positive run-in, and if Leicester can score twice again then I can see them holding on for victory.

Prediction: Everton 1-2 Leicester

Result: Everton 2-1 Leicester
