2019-20 Premier League: Week 32 – Crystal Palace vs Burnley

Crystal Palace welcome Burnley to Selhurst Park in a tasty mid-table Monday Night Football clash.

A win for Palace would see them climb to eighth, although Burnley can leapfrog Palace with victory and climb into eighth position themselves.

Palace could be without Wilfried Zaha after he was substituted early on in Wednesday’s loss at Liverpool with a muscle strain.

Vicente Guaita (thigh) and Christian Benteke (muscle) both failed to make the bench at Anfield, and are also doubts although Benteke and Zaha could receive late fitness tests.

Martin Kelly (calf/thigh), James Tomkins (thigh) and Jeffrey Schlupp (unspecified) are definitely ruled out.

Burnley could be without Jay Rodriguez due to an ankle knock plus tight hamstring suffered in Thursday’s win over Watford.

Robbie Brady (groin), Johann Berg Gudmundsson (calf) and Chris Wood (Achilles) could all receive late fitness tests, although Ashley Barnes (groin) and Ben Gibson (fitness) are ruled out.

Prediction

With so many injuries to both teams, I genuinely am not expecting a classic by any means because both sides have shown how poor they can be when out of possession in the past week.

Possession and clinical finishing therefore could very well be key here but I just can’t see either team getting a win.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Burnley

Result: Crystal Palace 0-1 Burnley
