Oxford United Face Manchester City in Headline Quarter Final Tie

League One’s Oxford United will face current holders, Manchester City in the headline tie of this season’s Carabao Cup Quarter Finals.

Oxford are looking to end a 32 year wait for a League Cup semi-final appearance but face a tough task against the holders, who comfortably beat them 3-0 at the Kassam Stadium last season.

Colchester United who are the lowest remaining ranked team meanwhile will look to add to their two giant killings of Premier League teams so far this season, as they visit Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Liverpool meanwhile face a tricky trip to Aston Villa if that tie is arranged, due to FIFA Club World Cup action forcing the postponement of that tie otherwise they will withdraw and allow Villa through to the semi-finals.

Finally, Everton will host Leicester City in another all Premier League tie, as both teams look for European qualification.

Three of the four Quarter-Finals will be played in the week commencing 16 December, whilst Liverpool’s tie will be rescheduled to a later date if it takes place.
