Wolves continue their European adventure as they visit Slovan Bratislava at Tehelne Pole in Group K.
Bratislava can move four points clear of Wolves with victory, whereas the English club can leapfrog their Slovakian opposition and potentially go top.
Team news
Embed from Getty ImagesSlovan Bratislava have no fresh injury concerns as manager, Jan Kozak has a full squad available for selection.
Wolves could be without Ruben Neves due to a calf injury which saw him subbed at half-time on Saturday against Southampton.
Romain Saiss (hamstring), Ryan Bennett (groin) and Pedro Neto (heel) are also doubtful for this clash.
Stat Attack
- This is Wolves’ first meeting with Slovan Bratislava in all competitions, as well as their first competitive clash with Slovakian opposition.
- Wolves have kept two clean sheets from four European away games this season, despite winning all four matches.
- Slovan Bratislava are unbeaten in all home games this season across all competitions (W9, D2).
Prediction
Wolves have finally rediscovered their initial form in recent weeks but Bratislava will be a huge test, given that their form is quite scary which is concerning coming into a must win fixture like this.
Wolves however went to Manchester City domestically earlier this month and managed to take a hard fought win, and I think that they need a similar performance here if are to take the three points.
As much as I think a win here is possible given Wolves’ impressive away form in Europe, my gut instinct is saying a tight draw because neither team has little to lose at this stage and particularly on Bratislava’s ground.
Prediction: Slovan Bratislava 1-1 Wolves
Result: Slovan Bratislava 1-2 Wolves
