Crystal Palace take on Norwich City at Selhurst Park as both teams look to mount mid-table challenges.
Palace could move into the top ten with victory whilst Norwich are looking to leapfrog their hosts with all three points.
Team news
Embed from Getty ImagesCrystal Palace have no fresh injury concerns as Connor Wickham prepares to return from an ankle injury.
Norwich could have Tim Krul available as he continues to nurse a back injury, despite playing at Burnley last weekend.
Mario Vrancic (calf), Alex Tettey and Ralf Fahrmann (both groin) are also set to be available.
Timm Klose, Onel Hernandez (both knee), Max Aarons, Christoph Zimmerman and Tom Trybull (all ankle) remain ruled out.
Form
Crystal Palace have been consistent with two wins, draws and defeats apiece from their opening six league games, with two of their four league goals coming from Jordan Ayew.
Norwich have just two wins to their name so far this season on top of losing their last two away trips by 2-0 results, of which three of those four conceded goals came in the first half.
Stat Attack
- Crystal Palace have lost just one of their last nine league meetings with Norwich (W5, D3, L1).
- Palace have scored in four of their five home Premier League meetings with Norwich, only failing to do so in a 1-0 defeat in December 1994.
- Just one Norwich player – Timm Klose remains from their last meeting with Palace in April 2016, whilst the Eagles still have six players from that teamsheet still playing for the club.
- Luka Milivojevic has picked up four yellow cards in six league outings this season, more than any other player.
- Norwich’s Teemu Pukki has converted six of his 21 shots into goals.
Prediction
Selhurst Park hasn’t really been a happy hunting ground for Palace in recent seasons, which stands Norwich in good stead as they search for their first away win.
The start therefore is going to be key in my opinion because whoever imposes themselves quickly will dominate, although the Canaries’ set piece ability should help them here if needed.
A draw therefore seems like a decent result because I can see Norwich’s defence making life tough for Palace, even if they don’t do draws so far this season.
Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Norwich
Result: Crystal Palace 2-0 Norwich
