Jordan Nobbs Back in England Lionesses Squad for October Friendlies

Arsenal Women’s Jordan Nobbs has been called up to the England Lionesses squad for the first time since last Autumn as they take on Brazil and Portugal next month.

Nobbs missed this summer’s World Cup with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament which she suffered in November 2018.

Alex Greenwood, Jill Scott and Fran Kirby also return to the squad after missing the Lionesses’ last two friendlies against Belgium and Norway, in which Aoife Mannion failed to win her first senior cap despite being called up but again features in Phil Neville’s selection.

Atletico Madrid striker, Toni Duggan however is a surprise absence from the latest squad.

Melissa Lawley (Liverpool), Chloe Kelly (Everton) and Alana Cook (PSG) have been called up as training players but won’t feature in the match day squads.

England face Brazil in Middlesbrough on 5 October before taking on Portugal in Vitoria on 8 October, three days later.
