2019-20 Premier League: Week Two – Brighton & Hove Albion vs West Ham United

Brighton have no fresh injury concerns to report as Jose Izquierdo (knee), Yves Bissouma (shoulder) and Ezequiel Schelotto (knee) all remain ruled out.

West Ham is set to have Jack Wilshire available after he was subbed off against Manchester City last weekend with a dead leg.

Felipe Anderson was also subbed but with a thigh injury so will face a late fitness test along with Mark Noble, who had a similar issue which kept him off the team sheet.

Form

Brighton come into this game off the back of a 3-0 win at Watford last weekend, in which Neal Maupay scored on his debut with their third goal.

West Ham meanwhile were crushed 5-0 by Manchester City as Raheem Sterling netted a hat-trick whilst Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero also got themselves onto the scoresheet.

Prediction

Despite being slow away starters for the past two seasons, West Ham need an immediate response to last weekend’s disastrous performance because wins over teams like Brighton could be crucial in their search for seventh come the end of this season.

Graham Potter’s Seagulls however are re-energised all over the pitch and look dangerous when given space to clinically finish their shots, making this a tough game to call so a draw would be a solid result.

Prediction: Brighton & Hove Albion 1-1 West Ham United

Result: Brighton and Hove Albion 1-1 West Ham United
