Chelsea have no fresh injury concerns with Marcos Alonso available again, after a thigh injury kept him out of Chelsea’s last two games.

Marco van Ginkel (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) and Ethan Ampadu (back) are both still sidelined

Slavia Prague have a full squad available apart from midfielder, Tomas Soucek who is suspended after picking up a third yellow card against Sevilla in the last round.

Stat Attack

  • This is the first meeting between these teams.
  • Chelsea have won their last two trips to Prague by 1-0 results with both goals coming in final ten minutes against the Sparta Prague team.
  • Slavia Prague has won just one of their last nine games against English opposition, beating Leeds United in March 2000 in UEFA Cup (W1, D2, L6).

Prediction

Having knocked out Sevilla in the last round, Slavia cannot be underestimated here by a resurgent Chelsea side.

The Blues however aren’t producing consistent performances and with likely wholesale changes a possibility here, I can see Slavia trying to get the first goal early on but if the visitors can weather the early storm then this will be a comfortable away win.

Prediction: Slavia Prague 0-2 Chelsea
