2018-19 Premier League: Week 33 – Huddersfield Town vs Leicester City

“Relegated Huddersfield Town meet Leicester City at the John Smith Stadium as the Foxes look to close the gap to seventh. 

For Huddersfield, three points will see them move off the bottom for the first time since December at Fulham’s expense. 

Victory will see Leicester move level with seventh-placed Wolves but can leapfrog them into that potential Europa League spot, if they win here by a two goal margin.

Huddersfield are set to welcome a host of players back from injury as they prepare for life in the Championship. 

Philip Billing (back), Laurent Depoitre (foot),  Demeaco Duhaney (thigh), Isaac Mbenza (calf) and Terence Kongolo (knee) are all available for Jan Siewert. 

Adama Diakhaby is however still out for another fortnight with a thigh injury as Abdelhamid Sabiri continues to struggle for match fitness. 

Leicester City have no fresh injury concerns with Marc Albrighton (thigh) and Daniel Amartey (ankle) both now likely to feature before end of season.

Huddersfield are winless in their last four league games, having taken just four points in last 19 league games. 

At home, the Terriers have won one of their last five and scored in two of those games. 

Leicester are on a three match winning run since losing their first match under Brendan Rogers, but have taken just four points from their last five away games.

Prediction

With relegation confirmed, I wouldn’t be surprised if Huddersfield come out fighting as several players fight for the right to remain with the club next season. 

Leicester meanwhile cannot afford any slip up in their quest for seventh and if play like they did last weekend against Bournemouth, this should be another easy win.
