Three Pointers
- A front row lockout would mark the first time that Mercedes have achieved three consecutive front row starts with the current Lewis Hamilton/Valtteri Bottas pairing.
- Sebastian Vettel needs a huge weekend if he is to break his duck of failing to take three consecutive victories at a non Asian Grand Prix (India, Korea & Singapore: 2011-13).
- Kevin Magnussen is the last rookie to have qualified in top ten in his first two races, driving for McLaren in 2014. Could this provide Lando Norris with some hope of repeating the Dane’s feat and become the first rookie to achieve that stat?
