Norwich City remain top of Sky Bet Championship as Leeds and Sheffield United continue to keep the pressure on in the race for promotion.
Marco Stiepermann’s lash in and Emiliano Buendia brace secured Norwich a 3-2 victory as Hull claimed consolatory goals through Marc Pugh and Chris Martin either side of the break.
Leeds remain two points behind after thumping Reading 3-0 in a first-half rout whilst Sheffield United are a further two behind, after beating Brentford 2-0 through Oliver Norwood’s penalty and a David McGoldrick header.

Derby stay sixth after a goalless draw at home to Stoke, ahead of Bristol City who drew 1-1 with Ipswich.

Aston Villa moved into eighth after coming from behind to beat Nottingham Forest. Forest initially led after a third minute Jack Colback cross dipped in at the back post, before Villa instantly drew level with a powerful goal from John McGinn.
McGinn then got his second after collecting Neil Taylor’s blocked shot and calmly dispatched it beyond Costel Pantilimon to turn the game on its head.
Villa then wrapped up victory just after the hour mark when Kortney Hause poked in Conor Hourihane’s free-kick via a deflection, to move eighth and two points off Derby.

Down at the bottom, Bolton suffered a 2-0 home defeat against Sheffield Wednesday to leave them eight points adrift of safety.
Rotherham meanwhile moved closer to safety after Semi Ajayi’s double downed QPR either side of Bright Osayi-Samuel’s poke in for Rangers. They however remain just below the drop zone on goal difference from Wigan after the Latics were thrashed 3-0 at Blackburn.
Finally, Ben Thompson’s brace moved Millwall a point clear of the relegation zone after winning 2-0 away at Birmingham City.
