Following Manchester City’s win over Bournemouth, Liverpool must win to keep pace otherwise they will fall five points behind in title race.

Everton have no new injury issues to report although James McCarthy is nearly ready for a return as he continues to build up his match fitness. This match however comes too soon for the Republic of Ireland international.

Liverpool are still unbeaten after 13 games with ten wins and three draws to leave them in second position.
The Reds also have the best home defence in Premier League, having conceded just once at Anfield this season which came against Cardiff in a match which they eventually won 4-1.
Everton have lost just one in their last seven league games, keeping four clean sheets during this period with only one of them coming away from home.
The Toffees are also unbeaten in last three outings, including away at Liverpool’s fellow title rivals – Chelsea when they drew 0-0 before following it up last weekend with a 1-0 win over Cardiff City.

Prediction
I am expecting another tight cagey affair which has been very typical of this fixture in recent meetings, with both teams scoring in last three clashes at Anfield.
Although a Liverpool win wouldn’t be surprising, I can see Everton just about holding on for a point here.
