This weekend’s Premier League results pales into insignificant as Leicester City mourn the tragic loss of owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha in a helicopter crash outside the King Power Stadium on Saturday evening, which also claimed the lives of four others on-board.
The incident happened following The Foxes’ 1-1 draw with West Ham United so our thoughts are with the Srivaddhanaprabha family and everyone associated with Leicester City at this difficult time.
We also send our best wishes to ex Tottenham player then manager, Glenn Hoddle as he continues to recover from a heart attack.
Moving onto the action, Manchester City remain top after ex Leicester star, Riyad Mahrez scored the decisive goal early on against Tottenham Hotspur who still stay fifth.
Liverpool and Chelsea still occupy second and third after thrashing Cardiff and Burnley respectively as Arsenal stayed fourth after securing a 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace.
Fulham and Huddersfield remain in the relegation zone after respective 3-0 defeats against Bournemouth and Watford. The Terriers however drop to rock bottom after Newcastle took a point at Southampton following a goalless draw.
Finally, Manchester United meanwhile replaced Everton in eighth after taking a 2-1 win over The Toffees, as Wolves remain tenth despite losing at Brighton to a Glenn Murray strike which was his 100th goal for the Seagulls.
