It might of been a Bank Holiday weekend but the Premier League threw up plenty of drama with four red cards, 29 goals and a switch at top of table.
We must start at the top with Saturday as Manchester City entered this weekend leading the pack, only to draw 1-1 at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Willy Boly put Wolves ahead after a Joao Moutinho free kick unintentionally went in off his arm. Man City however soon struck back through a free kick of their own when Aymeric Laporte headed in Ilkay Gundogan’s delivery.
Man City’s slip up therefore offered Bournemouth the chance to displace them at the top as they hosted Everton at Dean Court.
A tightly contested first half ended in fiery fashion after Richarlison saw red following a violent clash with Bournemouth’s Adam Smith.
Everton however raced into an early two goal lead after the break through Theo Walcott’s break and Michael Keane’s header.
Bournemouth however weren’t prepared to let their unbeaten home Premier League record against Everton go, earning themselves a 74th minute penalty after Leighton Baines fouled Callum Wilson. Joshua King stepped up to take the spot kick and scored to half the deflict.
Wilson was then again was involved in Bournemouth’s next goal, after heading a corner kick towards back post for Nathan Ake to smash in and make it 2-2.
Both teams then had chances to score the winner but failed to find a break through, therefore allowing Liverpool to snatch top spot when they beat Brighton & Hove Albion 1-0 through a Mohamed Salah winner in the evening match.
Chelsea and Watford then displaced Man City and Bournemouth further after running out 2-1 winners against Newcastle United and Crystal Palace respectively on Sunday to move second and third.
Tottenham Hotspur however leapfrogged them into second after stunning Manchester United 3-0 in Bank Holiday Monday Night Football, with a brace from Lucas Moura after Harry Kane’s opener.
Elsewhere, Claude Puel enjoyed another winning return to St Marys as Leicester City came from behind to beat Southampton by a 2-1 result, courtesy of Harry Maguire’s late winner from just outside box.

London sides, Arsenal and Fulham finally collected their first wins after playing out thrillers against West Ham and Burnley respectively, who both occupy spots in the bottom three.
Arsenal came from behind to see off West Ham 3-1 whilst Fulham saw off Burnley 4-2 with Aleksandar Mitrovic involved in three of their goals, following Jean Michael Seri’s fourth minute beauty of an opener.
Finally, Huddersfield and Cardiff played out a goalless draw despite the Terriers having Jonathan Hogg sent off just after the hour mark. The Terriers despite picking up first point of season are sat 19th in table between Burnley and the pointless West Ham.
