CSKA Moscow vs Arsenal

Arsenal head to Russia as they face CSKA Moscow for a place in 2017-18 Europa League Semi Finals.

Currently leading 4-1 from the first leg, Arsenal start this leg as favourites but the Russian side are no easy team to beat at home.

Team News

CSKA Moscow could have fullback, Kirill Nabakin back from suspension.

Viktor Vasin and Astemir Gordyushenko are ruled out for rest of season.

Arsenal are without Henrikh Mkhitaryan after the attacking midfielder suffered a knee injury in first leg.

David Ospina (ankle) and Santi Cazorla (calf) are both also ruled out.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles could return here from injury but could be bench at best.

Prediction

Given Arsenal’s poor away record against Russian clubs, they face a tough test here.

A huge worry has to be the fact that two clubs in European action this week have overturned a three goal deflict with one going on to crash out in injury time.

Both of those clubs were Italian however so Arsenal should have enough in them here with six wins on bounce giving them belief.

Prediction: CSKA Moscow 1-2 Arsenal (Arsenal to progress 6-2 on aggregate)

Result: CSKA Moscow 2-2 Arsenal (Arsenal win 6-3 on aggregate)
