Middlesbrough vs QPR

QPR make the long journey up from London this week to the North East as they place Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium.

After two consecutive away games which has saw them pick up four points Boro will be happy to return to their home ground where they will be looking to continue their good home form.

Unbeaten at home this season in all competitions after wins against Sheffield United, Burton Albion and Scunthorpe, Boro were held to a 0-0 draw last time out at home and will want to get back to winning ways against QPR.

After two home games which saw them win 2-1 vs Ipswich and draw 2-2 against Millwall QPR go into this game with the same points tally as Boro over the last two games.

Last time out

The last time these two played Middlesbrough were 3-2 winners at Loftus road in April 2016.

Goals from Jordan Rhodes, Gaston Ramirez and Ben Gibson meant Boro secured a vital three points as they pushed for promotion.

They’ll be hoping for more of the same this weekend.

Team news

Middlesbrough will be without Adama Traore after he picked up a straight red card against Aston Villa in midweek.

Boro appealed against the red card but the appeal was rejected and he will start his suspension starting against QPR.

QPR have a bit of an injury crisis with defenders; Onuoha, Lynch, Hall, Perch & Caulker all out.

38-year-old free agent Clint Hill has been drafted in as QPR look to strengthen at the back going into this game.

I think Boro will win this game and improve on their good early season form at home.

QPR’s injury crisis will play a big part in Boro taking all three points.

Middlesbrough 2-0 QPR

Result: Middlesbrough 3-2 QPR
