Nottingham Forest vs Middlesbrough

This game sees both teams go into this game on even points in the table after very similar starts.

Last time they met

The last time these two teams met, Nottingham Forest ran away 1-0 winners at the Riverside Stadium.

However the last time they played at the City ground, Boro picked up all three points thanks to goals from David Nugent and Daniel Ayala.

They’ll be hoping for different goal scorers this time as David Nugent left for Derby and Daniel Ayala remains injured, despite starting light training on Thursday.

Form

Middlesbrough go into this game after two home wins on the bounce against Sheffield United and Burton Albion.

Britt Assombalonga notched up two goals in midweek and will be hoping to add to that tally against his former club.

Another man who faces his former club is Patrick Bamford.

Bamford started off out at Nottingham Forest but only made a handful of appearances before he was sold to Chelsea.

The home side on the other hand will be hoping to get back to winning ways after a midweek defeat to Barnsley.

Forest won their first game at home against Millwall and will be hoping to do the same against Middlesbrough.

Former Middlesbrough man, Muzzy Carayol may get a run out for Forest against his former club.

Prediction

I think this will be another tough game for the away side and can see them struggling to get all three points, if they don’t start well.

Forest have looked strong so far and despite having a midweek blip they’ll be well up for this game.

So for those reason I think a draw is most likely here but if a team is gonna nick it I think Boro’s quality will be the difference.

Prediction: Nottingham Forest 2-2 Middlesbrough

Result: Nottingham Forest 2-1 Middlesbrough
