Norwich City vs Huddersfield Town Prediction

This weekend sees the last round of action before Christmas arrives, due to no festive fixtures on Christmas Eve.

Tonight sees the Championship kick off with Huddersfield Town travelling to Carrow Road to face fellow promotion rivals, Norwich City.

Norwich are currently coming out of a sticky run which has seen them struggle to collect wins, having won six points from the last five matches.

They have scored in all of those games except at Derby meaning that the goals are there but the defence is not as solid as the front line.

Huddersfield will prove a true test of the Canaries’ back four as we approach the January transfer window.

The Canaries’ key player, Nelson Oliveira will be looking to score in four consecutive matches and continue Norwich’s home domination over visiting teams.

Huddersfield are however back to winning ways after a difficult October and November saw them only claim seven points out of a possible 24 points.

The decision to rest players for the trip to Burton Albion on Tuesday night could well help the Terriers get their first win at Carrow Road in 47 years.

This match is critical if either side wants to enter the tough festive run on a high and in the play off spots.

Both sides have many match winners amongst them, so expect a real humdinger of a battle between Oliveira and Nahki Wells, who has been able to turn the style on in recent weeks.

Both sides won’t want players getting injured at this stage of the season, so expect to see some caution when going for tackles.

This could either turn the match into a dull draw or force players to take long shots at goal in the hope of getting lucky.

Prediction: Norwich 1-2 Huddersfield and Wells to score the winner.

Result: Norwich 1-2 Huddersfield
