2026-27 Premier League: Week Six – Palace vs Forest

Crystal Palace face a Premier League mid-table test against their former manager as Oliver Glasner’s Nottingham Forest visit Selhurst Park.

Victory will lift Palace above Glasner’s Forest into 12th position in the table, whilst Forest can go as high as tenth if Hull lose to Everton.

Team News

Takehiro Tomiyasu is ruled out for Palace after he suffered a calf injury during their 0-0 draw at Leeds before the international break.

Anan Khalaili is available after he made a recovery from a hamstring injury suffered on international duty for Israel.

Axel Disasi (suspension), Jean-Philippe Mateta (hamstring), Dean Henderson (ankle) and Chadi Riad (knee) are still absent.

Forest could be without Neco Williams due to illness.

Igor Jesus however is ruled out after he suffered a calf injury in training during the international break.

Nikola Milenkovic (hamstring) and Nicolo Savona (knee) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Palace host Forest at Selhurst Park on Sunday 11 October at 2pm BST, televised live on Sky Sports Main Event in the UK.

Prediction

Given that Palace went to an in-form Leeds just three days after beating Lech Poznan at home in the Europa League, they did well to grind out a goalless draw in a game where both teams to be fair were wasteful so I want to see a more polished end product here.

Forest meanwhile have their own end product issues after a wasteful display in their defeat at home to Coventry so a clinical reaction is needed if they’re to find more goals, but Jesus will be a big miss up front although Chris Wood hopefully can rediscover his goalscoring spark.

My instinct on this game is that it doesn’t feel like it could be a cracker given the end product issues for both teams, so a draw might be the best guess.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Nottingham Forest

Result: Crystal Palace 3-1 Nottingham Forest
