2026-27 UEFA Nations League: League A3 – England vs Czech Republic

England continue their League A3 campaign against Czech Republic in the 2026-27 UEFA Nations League.

Victory could put England top of the group if Spain lose to Croatia in Split, whilst Czech Republic can move off the foot of the group into third with a win if Croatia lose their home game.

Team News

Alex Scott has withdrawn from England’s squad after he played through their 7-0 victory in Croatia with a quad injury.

Ezri Konsa has also withdrawn from the squad due to a quad injury, which he had been carrying through the international window.

Czech Republic will be without defender, Ladislav Krejci after he was red carded in their 3-1 loss to Spain in Oviedo.

Stepan Chaloupek is also absent after he withdrew due to injury suffered during that match.

Pavel Sulc is set to return after he was suspended for that trip following his red card in their 2-0 home defeat to England.

When is Kick-Off?

England host Czech Republic at Wembley Stadium, London, on Tuesday 6 October at 7:45pm BST, live on ITV1 and ITVX in the UK.

Prediction

Coming off the high of their ruthless demolition of Croatia, England now need to stay grounded because this is now a banana skin game as they can either keep building and get another routine win or become complacent and get punished by the Czechs.

Czech Republic though are coming into this fixture off the back of a tough defeat to Spain despite having taken more fight to them than they did at home to England, so I am expecting them to try and make life harder but they can’t afford to let the hosts have free rein on the flanks.

I however do think that England will get another comfortable result if can stay focused and just play like they’ve done in the last two games.

Prediction: England 2-0 Czech Republic

Result: England 3-0 Czech Republic
