Coventry City have achieved four nominations for the 2025-26 PFA Championship Player of the Year Award.

Jack Rudoni headlines the trio of nominees from Coventry who achieved promotion back to the Premier League after a 25-year absence, as Frank Lampard’s Sky Blues won the Championship in a successful season.

Rudoni produced seven goals and seven assists across all competitions with no bookings, whilst he was clinical in his shot conversion with 16 of his 24 shots put onto target.

Haji Wright is also nominated after he delivered 18 goals and two assists in 43 appearances in his second-highest goalscoring season  for Coventry.

Matt Grimes has too earned a nomination after he produced impressive midfield consistency for Coventry despite only contributing two goals and assists apiece in 48 appearances across all competitions.

Brighton loanee, Carl Rushworth is nominated after he managed to keep a league-high 17 clean sheets and made 45 saves in 46 league appearances for Coventry, who are now considered frontrunners to sign him on a permanent transfer.

Swansea’s Zan Vipotnik headlines the two other nominations after he finished as the Championship’s Golden Boot winner with 23 goals, whilst he also scored twice in the Carabao Cup to record 25 goals and three assists in 49 total appearances across the season.

Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney is nominated following a successful campaign despite two months out with a calf injury, as he managed five goals and seven assists in 41 total appearances with consistency which saw him pick up the EFL Championship Player of the Season Award in April.

The winner will be announced at a ceremony at Opera House Manchester on Tuesday 25 August.
