2025-26 League One: Week 45 – Doncaster vs Stevenage

Doncaster Rovers host play-off chasing Stevenage in a massive Sky Bet League One clash.

Victory would lift Doncaster up to 12th ahead of the mid-afternoon kick-offs, whilst Stevenage can go as high as fourth with a win.

Team News

Billy Sharp could return for Doncaster after he missed their last eight matches with a calf injury.

Luke Molyneux (hernia), Frankie Okoronkwo (hamstring) and James Maxwell (unspecified) are ruled out.

Stevenage have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 1-0 victory at home to Barnsley in midweek.

Lewis Freestone (unspecified), Daniel Phillips (suspension), Luther James-Wildin (calf), Harry Cornick (ankle) and Mathaeus Roberts (Achilles) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Doncaster host Stevenage at Eco-Power Stadium on Saturday 25 April at 12:30pm BST, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.

Prediction

Now safe with nothing left to play for other than a league position as high as possible, Doncaster know that this is a free hit yet a chance to thank their fans for a tough season with one last home win of the campaign, so I expect them to try and put out a strong performance for the crowd.

Stevenage though can put a play-off spot in their own hands going into the final day unless the play-off race is sorted this weekend, but they must focus solely on themselves and I think that they will be able to get the result if play as well as they’ve been doing.

Alex Revell’s Boro also have the extra motivation of needing the win unlike Doncaster and I fancy that to be the difference.

Prediction: Doncaster 1-2 Stevenage

Result: Doncaster 1-1 Stevenage
