2025-26 Premier League: Week 31 – Tottenham vs Forest

Tottenham Hotspur meet Nottingham Forest in a blockbuster relegation six-pointer showdown in the scrap for Premier League survival.

Victory will lift Tottenham up to 15th in the table, whilst Forest can leapfrog their hosts into 16th with a win.

Team News

Dominic Solanke is a doubt for Tottenham due to a hip injury.

Joao Palhinha could return after he sat out their Champions League exit against Atletico Madrid due to a concussion.

Yves Bissouma (muscle), Rodrigo Bentancur (hamstring), Ben Davies (ankle), Mohammed Kudus (quad), James Maddison, Wilson Odobert (both ACL) and Dejan Kulusevski (knee) are still ruled out.

Forest have no fresh injury concerns to report after their Europa League victory at Midtjylland on penalties.

Jair Cunha (foot), Willy Boly, Nicolo Savona, John Victor and Chris Wood (all knee) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Tottenham meet Forest at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 22 March at 2:15pm GMT, live on Sky Sports Main Event in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Tottenham have won six of their last nine league meetings against Forest (W6, L3).
  • Forest have won one of their three trips to Spurs’ Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (W1, L2).
  • Forest have kept clean sheets in two of their last three league meetings against Tottenham (W3).
  • Richarlison has scored in two of Spurs’ last three league matches.
  • Forest have kept two clean sheets in their last seven league matches (D4, L3).

Prediction

Although Tottenham are coming into this game off their first win under interim manager – Igor Tudor, there can’t be no disillusions about their task now because they need to bring the same clinical fight and intensity as they did in their victory over Atletico if want to move closer towards safety.

Forest however seemed to have also found second wind because they too brought fight and intensity into their win over Midtjylland amidst several changes, which actually gives Vitor Pereira some selection thoughts as to whether he sticks or twist with his line-up.

I however do expect Murillo, Elliot Anderson, Morgan Gibbs-White and Igor Jesus to at least return to Forest’s starting line-up, but it remains to be seen whether the fact that they needed penalties at Midtjylland will affect them late on in this crucial match as the action wears on.

The first goal therefore will be key but given how high-stakes this clash has been hyped up to be despite the defensive fragilities within both teams, I wouldn’t be surprised if this ends in a draw as Forest’s fans will certainly motivate them whereas Spurs’ atmosphere does seem conflicting and messy.

Prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Forest

Result: Tottenham 0-3 Forest
