2025-26 Premier League: Week 31 – Bournemouth vs Man Utd

Bournemouth continue their push for European qualification against Manchester United in a Premier League encounter.

Victory will lift Bournemouth up to eighth in the table, whilst Man Utd will stay third and move to within four points of second-placed Manchester City.

Team News

Bournemouth have no fresh injury concerns to report following their goalless draw at Burnley last weekend.

Tyler Adams, Julio Soler (both unspecified), Lewis Cook (hamstring) and Justin Kluivert (knee) remain absent.

Man Utd could have Noussair Mazraoui back in contention after he missed their 3-1 win against Aston Villa, due to illness.

Lisandro Martinez (calf), Patrick Dorgu (hamstring) and Matthijs De Ligt (back) are still ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Bournemouth host Man Utd at Vitality Stadium on Friday 20 March at 8pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Prediction

Although wins have dried up in their last four matches, Bournemouth have done well to grind out draws but will be frustrated at their wasteful end product at Burnley where they were dominant, especially as they could easily be sat seventh if had won two of those four games.

Man Utd meanwhile clinically dispatched Villa in their last outing and now have a chance to close in on their local rivals if can win here, so it is a case of continuing to play as confidently as they’ve done but avoid the sloppiness of their last away trip at Newcastle earlier this month.

Bournemouth though are no pushovers as we saw at Old Trafford earlier this season so I expect another tough game but Utd are much improved now so they should edge this.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Man Utd

Result: Bournemouth 2-2 Man Utd
