2025-26 League Two: Week 36 – Grimsby vs Bromley

Play-Off chasing Grimsby Town face leaders, Bromley in a massive Sky Bet League Two showdown.

Victory would lift Grimsby up to sixth for at least a few hours, whilst Bromley can move eight points clear with a win before Cambridge visit Accrington Stanley in the mid-afternoon kick-offs.

Team News

Grimsby have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 3-1 victory at home to Salford in midweek.

Doug Tharme remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Bromley could be without top goalscorer, Michael Cheek after he suffered an unspecified injury during their goalless draw at home to Oldham in midweek, with manager – Andy Woodman having not mentioned the forward’s availability status in his pre-match preview.

Kyle Cameron remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

When is Kick-Off?

Grimsby host Bromley at Blundell Park on Saturday 7 March at 12:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.

Prediction

With one defeat in their last 13 league games since they were beaten 2-0 at Bromley in mid-December, Grimsby certainly can’t be underestimated after they clinically dispatched Salford in the first half of their clash and have their goalscoring spark firmly back on track.

Bromley meanwhile are currently stuck in a rut performance wise with fatigue showing due to their hoof-style play, yet they’re now 17 matches unbeaten after they grinded out a fourth draw in five matches but if Cheek isn’t available then this could be a tough slog against the in-form Mariners.

There however is no doubting the tenacity of this Bromley team to adapt to various challenges and grind out the points when can’t win, so this does feel like it depends on if Cheek is available because if he isn’t then I expect a rare defeat otherwise the Ravens might grind out a valuable point.

Prediction: Grimsby 1-1 Bromley

Result: Grimsby 1-1 Bromley
