Brighton & Hove Albion look boost their top-ten ambitions against relegation-battling Nottingham Forest.
Victory could lift Fabian Hurzeler’s Seagulls up to tenth if Fulham lose at home to Tottenham, whilst Forest can climb to 16th with a win if Spurs lose to the Cottagers.
Team News
James Milner is available for Brighton after he recovered from a small knock suffered in their 2-0 victory at Brentford last weekend.
Yasin Ayari (shoulder) and Solly March (knee) could return but Stefanos Tzimas (ACL) and Adam Webster (knee) remain sidelined.
Forest could be without goalkeeper, Stefan Ortega after he suffered a calf injury during their 2-1 Europa League loss to Fenerbahce, although they ultimately prevailed on aggregate.
Matz Sels (groin), Willy Boly, Nicolo Savona, John Victor and Chris Wood (all knee) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Brighton host Forest at the AMEX Stadium on Sunday 1 March at 2pm GMT, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Brighton have lost one of their last five league meetings against Forest (W3, D1, L1).
- Forest have failed to win any of their three Premier League visits to Brighton (D2, L1).
- Two of Brighton’s last four home matches against Forest in all competitions ended in a 0-0 result.
- Brighton are looking to win two consecutive league games for the first time since November 2025.
- No Forest player in this top-flight campaign so far has made more passes than Elliot Anderson (1799).
Prediction
Having produced one of their strongest displays in ages in their win at Brentford in which they defended well throughout and brought more bite to their attacking intensity and play, Brighton now need to bring that new-found momentum into this game because this is a chance to push further up the table.
Forest meanwhile weren’t clinical enough against Fenerbahce in a pretty evenly-matched game but were lucky that they had pretty done the job in the first leg of that tie, although they did a solid job of regrouping once 2-0 down to get a goal back and control the game to its conclusion.
They however will need to up their game because this is a chance to move five points clear of the drop but if Brighton play as well as they did last weekend, I can see the Seagulls nicking this.
Prediction: Brighton 1-0 Forest
Result: Brighton 2-1 Forest
