2025-26 Premier League: Week 24 – Tottenham vs Man City

Tottenham Hotspur face a tough test against Premier League title-chasing Manchester City.

Victory will lift Tottenham up to 13th in the table, whilst Man City could start this match needing a win to move back up to second if Villa beat Brentford in the early-afternoon kick-offs.

Team News

Mickey van de Ven is set to return for Tottenham after he missed their 2-0 Champions League victory at Eintracht Frankfurt due to a knock.

Pedro Porro, Rodrigo Bentancur, Richarlison (all hamstring), Lucas Bergvall, Ben Davies (both ankle), Mohammed Kudus (quad), James Maddison (ACL) and Dejan Kulusevski (knee) are still ruled out.

Man City will be without Jeremy Doku after he suffered a calf injury during their 2-0 Champions League victory against Galatasaray.

Ruben Dias (hamstring), Josko Gvardiol (leg), John Stones (thigh), Mateo Kovacic (foot) and Savinho (calf) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

Tottenham host Man City at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday 1 February at 4:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports’ Main Event and Premier League channels in the UK.

Prediction

Despite having clinically dispatched Eintracht Frankfurt in a dominant Champions League display, Tottenham’s domestic form otherwise is poor so they need to produce a clinically resilient smash-and-grab defensive display like in their win at City in August.

Man City meanwhile have bounced back in their last two matches with a pair of clinical 2-0 victories over Wolves and Galatasaray at home, which has given them renewed confidence and they do have a solid away record in the UK capital this season so this does feel very winnable if play at their best.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium though hasn’t always been kind to them until the last couple of seasons, so this is still a banana skin, but I do think that City should have enough quality to get the win.

Prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Man City
