Bromley meet Swindon in a blockbuster top of Sky Bet League Two showdown.
Bromley will remain top of the table regardless of the result, but victory could see them extend their lead to as much as nine points depending on results elsewhere.
Swindon meanwhile sit second and can stay in that position with a win, which would cut their deficit to the Ravens down to three points.
Team News
Deji Elerewe is a doubt for Bromley amidst speculation over his future at the club following rumours of an upcoming move to a League One team.
Carl Jenkinson is still recovering from a hip injury and it’s unclear if he is fit enough for selection.
Swindon could welcome Billy Bodin back if pass late fitness checks after he sat out their last two matches due to an issue related to his recent return from a hamstring injury.
Ollie Clarke (suspension), Danny Butterworth, Paul Glatzel (both hamstring), Jamie Knight-Lebel (hip) and Harry Smith (ACL) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Bromley host Swindon at Copperjax Community Stadium on Saturday 24 January at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Bromley have avoided defeat in two of their three previous EFL meetings against Swindon (W1, D1, L1).
- Swindon drew 1-1 in their only previous EFL visit to Bromley in December 2024.
- Andy Woodman’s Ravens are looking to keep three consecutive clean sheets in the league for the first time since May – August 2025, although their last such run in a single season came in February 2025.
- Aaron Drinan has scored in two of Swindon’s last three away games (W2, L1), and they kept clean sheets during both wins.
Prediction
With a six-point lead at the summit, Bromley can sort of relax slightly but I expect them to bring their top game in front of a sell-out crowd because victory could potentially put them nine points clear in this tricky run of fixtures, whilst Nicke Kabamba will have a point to prove against his critics here.
Andy Woodman’s Ravens also will be motivated by last weekend’s frustrating goalless draw at Chesterfield where they simply couldn’t beat an inspired goalkeeping display from Zach Hemming, whilst Kyle Cameron is a strong player to step into defence if Elerewe is indeed absent in line with rumours.
Swindon meanwhile have certainly endured two physically competitive 3-2 defeats against Salford in different competitions in the last week – of which the latter came in the FA Cup on Tuesday, so they will be thankful that it didn’t go to extra time so I expect them to bring plenty of fight here.
Bromley however do have the better momentum and form plus will be backed by a 5000+ strong home crowd so this won’t be easy for Swindon if the home fans can produce a dauntingly chastening atmosphere, but I do feel that this could well be one of those cagey games which ends in a point apiece.
Prediction: Bromley 1-1 Swindon
Result: Bromley 2-1 Swindon
