Braga meet Nottingham Forest in their penultimate league phase fixture in the 2025-26 UEFA Europa League.
Victory would keep Braga in the top eight, whilst Forest can leapfrog them and potentially move into the top eight with a win.
Team News
Gustaf Lagerbielke is available for Braga because his suspension for a red card in their Primeira Liga win over Tondela only applies to their next Primeira Liga game.
Sandro Vidigal (unspecified), Amine El Ouazzani (metatarsal), Jonatas Noro (Achilles) and Rodigo Zalazar (suspension),
Forest will welcome Oleksandr Zinchenko back into contention after he was ineligible to feature in their goalless Premier League draw at home to Arsenal.
John Victor and Chris Wood (both knee) are still ruled out.
When is Kick-Off?
Braga host Forest at Estadio Municipal de Braga on Thursday 22 January at 8pm CET, live on TNT Sports 1 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- This is Braga’s first-ever meeting against Forest in all competitions.
- Forest are making their first-ever visit to Braga across all competitions.
- Fran Navarro has scored in all three of Braga’s home games in the league phase (W2, L1).
- Two of Forest’s five away yellow cards in the league phase have been shown to Igor Jesus.
Prediction
With just one defeat in the league phase and having scored in every match, Braga definitely are set to pose issues with their attacking play, whilst their defence is probably one of the more solid with four clean sheets so far which will give them belief that they can get another shutout here.
Forest though won’t make this easy if they can bring the same intensity as they did against Arsenal but show more patience and composure in the accuracy of their end product, although their defensive record in the league phase since Sean Dyche took charge has been better with three clean sheets in four games.
This clash therefore does feel like it could be cagey because both teams have clearly shored up their defensive lines and will be harbouring top-eight ambitions, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this finishes in a point apiece.
Prediction: Braga 1-1 Forest
Result: Braga 1-0 Forest
