Crystal Palace have recalled forward, Jemiah Umolu from his loan spell at Bromley with immediate effect.
Umolu joined Bromley on a season-long loan in late August but only managed five substitute appearances across all senior competitions, in which his only goal for the Ravens came as their consolatory effort in a controversial first-round exit at home to Bristol Rovers in this season’s FA Cup.
He also made an appearance for Bromley’s Under-21s in a 2-1 Premier League Cup victory at home to Norwich, in which he played 72 minutes.
Umolu’s disappointing loan spell was underlined by the fact that he failed to dislodge Bromley’s three first-choice strikers in Michael Cheek, Nicke Kabamba and Marcus Dinanga in Andy Woodman’s selection decision making, whilst he managed just 188 minutes across all competitions.
Palace have consequently recalled him from his loan early with immediate effect, as Bromley confirmed his recall in a social media statement.
