Nottingham Forest look to move away from the Premier League relegation zone in a tough test against Everton.
Victory would lift Forest up to 16th in the table, whilst Everton can climb to eighth with a win.
Team News
Forest have no fresh injury concerns to report after their 2-1 home defeat against Manchester City.
Willy Boly, Ibrahim Sangare (both international duty), Chris Wood (knee), Dan Ndoye (thigh), Ryan Yates and Ola Aina (both hamstring) are still ruled out.
Everton could welcome Jack Grealish back after he missed their goalless draw at Burnley due to a virus.
Idrissa Gueye, Iliman Ndiaye (both international duty), Seamus Coleman, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jarrad Branthwaite (all hamstring) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Forest host Everton at the City Ground on Tuesday 30 December at 7:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports Cricket in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Forest have won just one of their last seven meetings against Everton (W1, D2, L4).
- Everton are unbeaten in their last five visits to Forest (W4, D1).
- Forest have conceded six goals in three of their last four meetings against Everton without reply.
- No Forest players have made more interceptions this season than Murillo and Neco Williams, who both have made 20 interceptions in the top flight alone.
- Everton are looking to avoid going four consecutive league games without a goal for the first time since November – December 2024.
Prediction
Getting a result at home to Man City was always a tough ask but Forest can be pleased at how they went toe-to-toe with them, yet small loose defensive marking cost them at least a point, although this game does feel more winnable if they can take their chances better.
Everton meanwhile are clearly still missing some key players and Grealish’s absence was felt at Burnley out wide as their attacking finishes felt toothless at times, but David Moyes can be pleased at how his team dealt with transitions from defence to counter-attacks at pace.
There is no doubting though that Moyes’ Toffees lack a clear-cut end product and with Forest’s attack finding momentum despite some key absentees, I wouldn’t be surprised if the hosts nick this.
Prediction: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Everton
Result: Nottingham Forest 0-2 Everton
