Prediction
Having clinically dispatched Accrington Stanley in an unsurprisingly tight contest given their similar low-possession styles, Bromley now have a great opportunity to start their festive fortnight on a high because they are a difficult team to beat at home.
Grimsby meanwhile are in a defensive mess because they have conceded each of the last five league shots that they had faced on target from their opposition, and have failed to win any of their last four away trips which shows how much of a rut they’re in currently.
One positive for Grimsby though is that they’ve drawn blank up top just once on the road this season and are yet to suffer an EFL defeat against Bromley, yet they’re the team out of form coming into this meeting in contrast to Bromley last season which shows how far Andy Woodman’s Ravens have come.
My first instinct is that this will end in a draw but I do think that Bromley do have the momentum to win this given Grimsby’s heavy possession-based style, which should suit the hosts with their counter-attacking qualities and the Mariners’ defensive fragilities.
