2025-26 Premier League: Week 14 – Arsenal vs Brentford

Arsenal continue their Premier League title challenge in a London derby against Brentford.

Victory would see Arsenal stay top of the table, whilst Brentford can go as high as seventh if Liverpool and Crystal Palace both lose elsewhere.

Team News

William Saliba is a doubt for Arsenal after he suffered a knock in their 1-1 draw at Chelsea last Sunday.

Leandro Trossard (knock) could return but Gabriel (adductor) and Kai Havertz (knee) remain sidelined.

Brentford will be without loanee, Reiss Nelson who is ineligible to face his parent club.

Fabio Carvalho, Josh Dasilva and Antoni Milambo remain absent with ACL injuries.

When is Kick-Off?

Arsenal host Brentford at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday 3 December at 7:30pm GMT, live on Sky Sports Main Event in the UK.

Prediction

Having often lacked their usual energetic end product sharpness in their draw at Chelsea amidst composed build-up play to their attacks, Arsenal certainly need to bring more fight and ruthless finishing if they’re to win this game which they should do given their depth and quality.

Brentford though are no pushovers despite their defensive vulnerability because they really could of routed Burnley if had been more composed in their end product, yet they dug in and got the win even after conceding moments after their opener so that spirit and a polished final touch is needed here.

If Keith Andrews’ Bees do indeed bring that improvement then I can see them getting a draw but I realistically can’t see Arsenal dropping points if can bring their usual quality.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Brentford

Result: Arsenal 2-0 Brentford
