2025-26 Premier League: Week 13 – Aston Villa vs Wolves

Aston Villa continue their top-five push against relegation-battling Wolves in a West-Midlands derby.

Victory will see Villa climb to third for at least a few hours, whilst Wolves will remain bottom regardless of the result.

Team News

Villa have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 2-1 Europa League victory over Young Boys, with only Tyrone Mings still sidelined due to a hamstring injury.

Wolves will be without goalkeeper, Daniel Bentley due to an ankle injury which had kept him out of their 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace last weekend.

Leon Chiwone (ACL), Matt Docherty (knee) and Rodrigo Gomes (groin) remain ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Villa host Wolves at Villa Park on Sunday 30 November at 2pm GMT, live on Sky Sports Premier League in the UK.

Stat Attack

  • Aston Villa are unbeaten in three of their last four league meetings against Forest (W2, D1, L1).
  • Wolves are unbeaten in four of their last six trips to Villa (W2, D2, L2).
  • Ezri Konsa has scored in each of Villa’s last two home games against Wolves (W2).
  • All three of Donyell Malen’s league goals for Villa this season have been scored at home.
  • Wolves’ manager, Rob Edwards is yet to beat Villa in all competitions, having lost both meetings during his time in charge of Luton in 2023-24 season.

Prediction

Having dominated their last two matches with such control and confidence, Villa will be favourites here but their end product conversion does need to be more polished because they’re capable of bigger winning margins on current form.

Wolves meanwhile did a solid defensive job of forcing Palace to create two clinical moments to beat them, but they now need to consolidate that and add more attacking quality if want to start moving closer towards their rivals.

I however just don’t see Villa losing this if they continue to play like they’re doing but Wolves should make it difficult to break them down.

Prediction: Aston Villa 2-0 Wolves

Result: Aston Villa 1-0 Wolves
