Dynamo Kiev host Crystal Palace in their opening league phase clash in 2025-26 UEFA Conference League.
Victory will see either Dynamo Kiev or Palace make a winning start to the league phase of their Conference League campaign.
Team News
Dynamo Kiev have no fresh injury concerns with only Denys Popov (calf) ruled out.
Palace could welcome goalkeeper, Walter Benitez back from a finger injury which saw him miss their last two matches, including a 2-1 Premier League victory over Liverpool.
Caleb Kporha (back), Chadi Riad (ACL) and Cheick Doucoure (knee) remain absent.
When is Kick-Off?
Dynamo Kiev meet Palace at Arena Lublin, Lublin, Poland on Thursday 2 October at 6:45pm CEST, live on TNT Sports 3 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- This is Dynamo Kiev’s first-ever competitive meeting against Crystal Palace.
- Palace are playing away to Dynamo Kiev for the first time.
- Dynamo Kiev are facing a 10th different English opponent in all UEFA competitions.
- Palace are yet to concede in the UEFA Conference League this season (W1, D1).
Prediction
With just two wins in their last 31 European games excluding qualifiers, Dynamo Kiev need to deliver a huge performance defensively if want to quieten an in-form Palace team, yet they do have Andriy Yarmolenko who previously played against the Eagles when at West Ham a few years ago.
Palace meanwhile lacked a clinical edge in their play-off round against Fredrikstad despite scraping through with a first-leg winner, but they certainly will use that experience here now that their season has found its best gears and are now unbeaten in their last 18 games across all competitions.
As good a challenge as Kiev might put up defensively, I don’t see Palace losing this if play with the maturity which blew Liverpool away in the first half last weekend.
Prediction: Dynamo Kiev 0-2 Crystal Palace
Result: Dynamo Kiev 0-2 Crystal Palace
