2025-26 League One: Week Seven – Doncaster vs Bradford

Doncaster Rovers meet Bradford City in a huge League One clash between two promoted teams.

With Cardiff, Stevenage and Barnsley not in action on the first international weekend of the season, victory would see Doncaster climb to second and behind the Bluebirds on goal difference.

Bradford meanwhile can go top with a win.

Team News

Doncaster could again be without Luke Molyneux due to an ankle injury.

Robbie Gotts (thigh) remains absent.

Bradford have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 2-1 victory at home to Grimsby in EFL Trophy action in midweek.

Neill Byrne (knee), Lewis Richards (shoulder), Calum Kavanagh (shin) and Matthew Pennington (unspecified) are ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Doncaster host Bradford at Eco-Energy Stadium on Saturday 6 September at 3pm BST, live on Sky Sports+ in the UK.

Prediction

Although they’ve suffered just one defeat since their return to League One, Doncaster have tended to find themselves involved in plenty of grinders with three 1-0 wins which is testatement to their solidness and gritty play.

Bradford meanwhile have done well to come through a tough August unbeaten during which they took two shock clinical away victories in the Carabao Cup at Championship opposition, underlining how well they’ve settled into the season and third tier.

Nevertheless the Bantams have struggled to keep a clean sheet in the league which will give Doncaster hope and I can see them playing out a draw.

Prediction: Doncaster 1-1 Bradford

Result: Doncaster 3-1 Bradford
