2024-25 Premier League: Week 35 – Palace vs Forest

Crystal Palace host top-five chasing Nottingham Forest in a Premier League clash at Selhurst Park.

Palace will remain 12th regardless of the result, whilst Forest will remain sixth regardless of the result.

Team News

Matt Turner is ineligible for Palace against his parent club – Forest but will be available to return for their trip to Tottenham on Sunday 11 May.

Chadi Riad and Cheick Doucoure both remain absent with knee injuries.

Forest could be without Callum Hudson-Odoi after he suffered a hamstring injury in their 2-0 home defeat to Brentford.

Eric da Silva Moreira (knock) remains absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Palace host Forest at Selhurst Park on Bank Holiday Monday 5 May at 8pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Prediction

Results elsewhere mean that Palace realistically must win here if want an outside chance of a top-eight finish in the event that they don’t win the FA Cup, having reached the final after clinically dispatching Aston Villa in a ruthless display in their last outing.

Forest meanwhile seem to have hit a rut at the worst possible time of the season with blanks in three of their last five games and looked pretty lacklustre against Brentford, so a huge reaction is required here if they want to keep pace with their top-five rivals.

Nevertheless both teams simply can’t lose for different reasons and given how close their recent head-to-head record is, I expect another cagey contest but Palace on current form might just nick this.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-0 Nottingham Forest

Result: Crystal Palace 1-1 Nottingham Forest
