2024-25 Premier League: Week 35 – Arsenal vs Bournemouth

Arsenal continue their push to secure a top-two Premier League finish against top-eight chasing Bournemouth.

Victory would see Arsenal stay on course to finish second in the table, whilst Bournemouth could climb to eighth if Fulham lose in the lunchtime kick-off at Aston Villa.

Team News

Neto is ineligible to feature for Arsenal against his parent club – Bournemouth, due to having only joined the Gunners on loan earlier this season.

Gabriel, Kai Havertz (both hamstring), Riccardo Calafiori, Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu (all knee) and Jorginho (rib) remain absent.

Bournemouth will have Evanilson available after his red card in an eventual 1-1 draw against Manchester United was rescinded on appeal.

Luis Sinisterra (hamstring), Ryan Christie (groin) and Enes Unal (ACL) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Arsenal host Bournemouth at Emirates Stadium on Saturday 3 May at 5:30pm BST, live on Sky Sports in the UK.

Prediction

Although their Champions League semi-final against PSG is their main priority amidst a sloppy start costing them in the first leg at home, Arsenal now need to go strong for this league game because they could easily get sucked right into the top-five race if aren’t careful.

Bournemouth though really should of beaten Man Utd for all of their dominance but sluggish final touches and a late marking error after Evanilson’s red card denied them the win, but I do expect them to bounce back if can show the same intensity and be cleaner in their end product.

Arsenal might have a 100% home record in this Premier League fixture but I do expect changes and if Bournemouth do make those improvements, this could well be a point apiece.

Prediction: Arsenal 1-1 Bournemouth
