2024-25 League Two: Week 43 – Bradford vs Notts County

Bradford host Notts County in a top of League Two showdown at Valley Parade to kick off the EFL Easter double-header.

Victory would see Bradford move to the top of the table ahead of the Good Friday fixtures, whilst Notts County can climb to fifth with a win.

Team News

Richard Smallwood is ruled out for Bradford after his red card in their 5-4 defeat at Swindon.

Andy Cook (ACL) and Lewis Richards (shoulder) remain absent.

Notts County have no fresh injury concerns following their 3-1 loss at home to Salford.

Alex Bass, Sam Austin (both unspecified), Lucas Ness (hamstring) and Scott Robertson (quad) remain absent.

When is Kick-Off?

Bradford host Notts County at Valley Parade on Thursday 17 April at 8pm BST, live on Sky Sports Football in the UK.

Prediction

With just two wins in their last seven matches and a sloppy defensive display in their dramatic loss at Swindon, Bradford now need to regroup and cut out their issues in defence because defeat here could allow AFC Wimbledon plus their visitors to get right back into the automatic promotion race.

Notts County though have lost their way again after a recent up-turn in form with a pretty disappointing performance against Salford, but they really need to step it up a notch with less defensive mistakes if want to realistically stay in the fight for automatic promotion.

Both teams though are pretty well matched on goal difference of +19 apiece despite Notts County having scored and conceded four more goals than Bradford, so I expect this to be a pretty tight game despite Bradford’s superb home record this season and both teams to take a point each.

Prediction: Bradford 1-1 Notts County

Result: Bradford 1-1 Notts County
