2024-25 Premier League: Week 22 – West Ham vs Crystal Palace

West Ham meet Crystal Palace at the London Stadium in a London derby.

Victory could lift West Ham up to 11th if Brentford loses elsewhere, whilst Palace can leapfrog the Hammers and climb to 12th with a win.

Team News

Crysencio Summerville could return for West Ham after he missed their win over Fulham with a hamstring injury.

Jean-Clair Todibo (knock), Niclas Fullkrug (hamstring), Michail Antonio (leg) and Jarrod Bowen (foot) remain ruled out.

Palace will be without midfielder, Jefferson Lerma due to illness.

Ismaila Sarr is a doubt due to a minor hamstring issue but Adam Wharton (groin), Matheus Franca (adductor) and Rob Holding (personal) remain sidelined.

When is Kick-Off?

West Ham host Palace at London Stadium on Saturday 18 January at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

Following a clinical first home win of Graham Potter’s reign despite struggling defensively to deal with Fulham’s crosses at times, West Ham now need to continue to build their unity and spirit and deliver clinical play if want to continue pushing towards a top-ten finish ready to kick on next season.

Palace though dug in defensively to beat Leicester who just didn’t have the end product unlike the Eagles as clinical second-half goals proved the difference, which is something that I expect to see more of here if they’re to win.

West Ham though do look reignited under Potter so this should be an openly competitive battle and it wouldn’t be surprising if this ends in a draw.

Prediction: West Ham 1-1 Crystal Palace

Result: West Ham 0-2 Crystal Palace
