Van Amersfoort Racing have signed John Bennett for the 2025 F2 season.
Bennett replaced Enzo Fittipaldi for the final two rounds of last season and achieved a single top-ten finish in four races, which came in Qatar Feature Race where he finished eighth after he had qualified 19th on the grid.
The 21 year-old Salisbury-born Brit is “delighted” to stay with VAR next season, having initially done the F3 test with the Dutch team this autumn before his F2 call-up.
“Since my first day testing in F3, it has been a great environment to work in. Thank you to the team for all their support, and I cannot wait to get started next year!”
VAR Team Principal, Brad Joyce added that he is “delighted” to retain Bennett following his successful two rounds for the team.
“His progression through the final rounds of the 2024 season demonstrated his ability to quickly adapt in challenging conditions.
“The team is certain that he is ready for this next step. We look forward to supporting him throughout the season as he continues to grow and compete at one of the highest levels of motorsport.”
VAR will announce Bennett’s teammate in due course.
