West Ham host Wolves in a huge clash in the fight for Premier League survival.
Victory will see West Ham stay 15th but move nine points clear of the drop, whilst Wolves can climb to 18th and to within a point of safety with a win.
Team News
Michail Antonio is ruled out indefinitely for West Ham after he suffered a leg injury in a car accident.
Danny Ings (knock) is a doubt but Jean-Clair Todibo (adductor) is unlikely to feature, having missed their 3-1 loss at Leicester.
Wolves will welcome Nelson Semedo back after he was suspended for their midweek loss at Everton.
Pablo Sarabia (calf) is a doubt but Yerson Mosquera, Boubacar Traore (both knee), Sasa Kalajdzic and Enso Gonzalez (both ACL) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
West Ham host Wolves at London Stadium on Monday 9 December at 8pm GMT, live on Sky Sports in the UK.
Stat Attack
- West Ham have lost one of their last five meetings against Wolves (W4, L1).
- Wolves have won two of their last six trips to West Ham (W2, L4).
- West Ham have scored 10 goals in their last four home games against Wolves without conceding.
- Max Kilman has had more touches this season than any other West Ham player (905).
- Matheus Cunha has scored three goals in Wolves’ last two trips to London-based opposition.
Prediction
After two defensive disasters in their last two outings – especially when caught on the counter-attack at Leicester, West Ham really need to be more solid defensively but equally clinical given how wasteful they’ve been.
Wolves were just outclassed at Everton so will have their own defensive issues to sort out, but they certainly have the firepower to cause issues here given their goalscoring form up until the trip to Merseyside.
Nevertheless this feels like a must-win for both managers but I do feel that Wolves have slightly better confidence, which could be the difference.
Prediction: West Ham 1-2 Wolves
