Everton meet Premier League leaders, Liverpool in the final Merseyside derby to be played at Goodison Park.
Victory can put Everton up to 14th in the table, whilst a win will put Liverpool 10 points clear at the summit.
Team News
Everton have no fresh injury concerns to report following their 4-0 win against Wolves in midweek.
Youssef Chermiti (foot), James Garner (back) and Tim Iroegbunam (foot) remain absent.
Liverpool will be without Alexis Mac Allister who is suspended following his fifth booking of the season, as the Reds drew 3-3 at Newcastle.
Konstantinos Tsimikas (ankle), Alisson, Conor Bradley (both hamstring), Diogo Jota (rib), Federico Chiesa (knock) and Ibrahima Konate (knee) remain sidelined.
When is Kick-Off?
Everton host Liverpool at Goodison Park on Saturday 7 December at 12:30pm GMT, live on TNT Sport 1 in the UK.
Stat Attack
- Everton have won one of their last six meetings against Liverpool (W1, D1, L4).
- Liverpool have won one of their last seven visits to Everton (W1, D5, L1).
- Everton have kept clean sheets in five of their last seven home games against Liverpool.
- James Tarkowski has made more blocks than any other Everton defender this season (18).
- Mohamed Salah has scored five goals in Liverpool’s last three away games.
Prediction
After their ruthless midweek demolition in which they looked largely comfortable throughout, Everton should feel confident of getting a result if turn up and play with the same quality given their recent defensive record in this fixture.
Liverpool in contrast were defensively sloppy at Newcastle and could of lost if not for Mohamed Salah’s brace in an eventual draw, so a more consistent performance is needed but Mac Allister is a loss in midfield here.
Throw in the emotion of the last Merseyside derby at Goodison Park and both teams will want to win here, but I do think that Everton will do enough to snatch a point.
Prediction: Everton 1-1 Liverpool
Result: Everton P-P Liverpool
