2024-25 Premier League: Week 15 – Crystal Palace vs Man City

Crystal Palace entertain Manchester City in a tough Premier League encounter.

Victory could see Palace climb to 14th if Everton lose elsewhere, whilst Man City can go second with a win.

Team News

Daichi Kamada is set to return for Palace following completion of his three-match ban.

Chadi Riad (knee), Adam Wharton (groin), Matheus Franca (adductor) and Rob Holding (personal) remain sidelined.

Man City will again be without Phil Foden after illness forced him to sit out their 3-0 midweek win over Nottingham Forest.

Nathan Ake (thigh) and Manuel Akanji (unspecified) are unlikely to be available.

John Stones (foot), Mateo Kovacic (unspecified), Oscar Bobb (leg) and Rodri (knee) remain ruled out.

When is Kick-Off?

Palace face Man City at Selhurst Park on Saturday 7 December at 3pm GMT, untelevised live in the UK.

Prediction

With performances continuously improving despite lacking end product in an otherwise dominant narrow win at Ipswich, Palace can come into this home clash as underdogs knowing that they have little to lose against City.

Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens though need another win to prove that their rut is really over after a clinical display against Forest, but their defence could again be their vulnerability if Ake and Akanji aren’t available.

City though have a strong away record at Palace but given that they’re coming out of a rut whilst Palace have finally found their groove, I can see the Eagles nicking a point here.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 Man City

Result: Crystal Palace 2-2 Man City
